Steve Millard - Freedive Instrutor

Steve is one of the leading UK instructors and Learn 2 Freedive's Head Instructor. He has been freediving for many years. Steve has represented the UK in Sixth World Championships as a UK Squad Member & UK Head Coach. As well as being an AIDA International Judge, he is also the organiser of the UK's National Pool Championships which is the biggest indoor freediving competition in the UK. Steve also organised the UK's first National Depth Competition in 2012. Steve recently came runner up in the AIDA Best Coach category where Freediving coaches from all around the world were nominated and voted on.

Freediving, when practised properly, is a very safe sport. However there are risks so always dive with the supervision of a QUALIFIED and competent buddy. Never hold your breath alone, even in water as shallow as your bath. Someone needs to be there who knows exactly what they are looking for and what to do in case of a blackout. A casual observer or even a lifeguard who hasn't been specifically trained in apnea would not be suitable.
